Dr. Luiz Avelar graduated in Medicine from the renowned Faculty of Medical Sciences of Minas Gerais, where he acquired the solid foundation that propelled his career in the field of plastic surgery. After completing his medical degree, Dr. Luiz began his career in the General Surgery Department of Santa Casa de Belo Horizonte, under the guidance of Professor Célio E.D. Nogueira. In search of improvement, he went to the Plastic Surgery Department of Hospital Barata Ribeiro, in Rio de Janeiro, where he worked with Professor Cláudio Rebello, in a program recognized by the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery (SBCP). Later, he honed his skills by working as a Fellow at the prestigious Ivo Pitanguy Clinic, also in Rio de Janeiro, a world reference in the field.
